Antonio Rudiger's official Real Madrid presentation has taken place. The center-back has signed a 4 year deal with Los Blancos, following the end of his Chelsea contract.
The move was confirmed earlier this month, but the official presentation had been unable to take place due to Nations League duties.
Now the announcement has taken place, and Rudiger's number has been confirmed as #22.
"My favorite number is 2, but that belongs to Carvajal," he said. "They offered me 12 or 22 and I took 22."
Rudiger joins a Real Madrid side that has just won the Champions League and La Liga. The defender is their 2nd signing, following the capture of Rennes' Aurelian Tchouameni.
